I did that: I selected FF and it now I suppose it's time to write off 1.5.10 as busted and either retrograde back to 1.5.9 or move onto FF2.

On Win2000 you need enable the display of Hidden or System files in the folder options and XP you need to use the advanced options to find Hidden or Of late that no longer works, and the only way I can open my emails is to right-click and then click on "Open". Presumably I unintentially changed a setting.

Folder view settings proglem
In Internet Explorer 4.01 Properties, General Tab, Temporary Internet files, click settings and then in settings use the Move Folder option. Move the Temporary Internet files folder to a location outside the \Winnt\Profiles tree. The Temporary Internet files will no longer be a part of the user's roaming profile.
